Albert Powell High School is the continuation high school for Yuba City Unified School District. It was started in 1979 due to overcrowding at Wilson (continuation) High School. After operating in temporary facilities, a new school was built in 1986. In 1991 Wilson High School closed; and students started attending Albert Powell High School.
