School Vision Statement

School Vision Statement

Albert Powell High
In order to prepare students for the 21st century, the Albert Powell High School community envisions a future where all students are encouraged by administrators, teachers, staff, parents and each other to become lifelong learners, to earn a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and to be responsible members of the community.

Albert Powell High School is the continuation high school for Yuba City Unified School District. It was started in 1979 due to overcrowding at Wilson (continuation) High School. After operating in temporary facilities, a new school was built in 1986. In 1991 Wilson High School closed; and students started attending Albert Powell High School.
